    Oil Pump Tolerance

    I measured the clearance today.. 9 thou between the teeth. Is that ok? Also 0.10mm of drop from the edge to the flat edge of the cog? If that makes sense lol

    Any scores on the casing? are the teeth edges flat and smoothish?

    Yeh all smooth, no scoring of any kind, at least i dont think so.

    if you turn the pump upside down the Gears should slide out, not neccesarily fall out have a look for any scoring on the surfaces the gears could touch should it be fubared,

    I always take the strainers off and clean them out thoroughly, take out the pressure relief valve spring (circlip put your hand over the end!!) and make sure its not sticking etc
