Have seen a lot about these but still haven't worked out what they do. What are they, what do they do and what else would need doing if I fitted one

im taking my adaptor to a CNC place today... mine is stainless steel, but smaller than bruns. Will be capable of sealing for turbo applications and will use smaller fittings so will enable scuttle kit with battery in place.

the opening on the throttle body isnt round, so this means fitting a different filter isnt easy

these adapters convert the shape to a normal round hole so that you can fit whatever you like, such as a BMC CDA or anything basically

these adapters are better than others in 2 ways

    1. they are tapered, other adapters are simply a plate and a tube welded together, this blocks off a section of the throttle body inlet and with no taper wont result in good air flow

    2. they are larger than all others ive seen, being 80mm

I think i'd be interested in one of these, where are you getting them from as i'd still be after one if the group buy doesn't go ahead.
