changing fuel pump ph1

i've got a ph1 with the sperate pump i've got it out of the tank but to remove the outer plastic casing do i have to drill the rivet thats on the end of the housing?

yes mate. you have to remove the outer plastic casing. i think the rivet type thing pulls off and can be replaced with a small cable tie on the leg.

Couldn't get the rivet out on mine in the end the end snapped off :'(

If that happens you could try drilling a small hole through the tube and putting a small bolt/nut there, that would hold the casing up firmly.
