FAO Coops and Midge (roll cages AGAIN)

    Hi,

Im trying to get some custom cages fabricated at prices competative to OMP for just the 1/2 cage like you chaps have.

Could i get some pic of them to help them price them up for me.

I will also be getting harness bars for them.

the full on 20 odd point 'custom cages' cage was only summat like £460 in CDS last time i looked too.

bit more for T45 like, but saving a fair chunk o weight may make it worthwhile.

Yeah... its just some people like me like the idea of not having the A piller renforcements etc so i want one a little cheaper than OMP or about the same, but lighter weight.

It re enforces the roof directly above your head if you roll. so it does protect you, has door bars too. The car should servive a roll over from what i have seen anyway so this ensures your head doesnt get squished.

run diagonals from the uprights to the floor... means you can still get in the bloody car!

    gotta agree with 2live.

although i do like the look of midges and coops cages, i cant really see why they didnt go the whole way and have a full cage. (i do really - they didnt put the cages in - previous owners did)

best to get the full thing imo, and just keep the door bars kinda low. it makes getting in easier. my door bars are really high up, but are better protection for side impact.

full cage helps stiffen the chassis a lot more than a 1/2 cage.
