    Need some help!! PLEASE

    It seems as tho my clio 16v had a battering last nite from the snow and the low tempreture, iv accumilated a few issues the thermometer isnt reading but the light is working also the backwiper has packed up also the wipers have lost the slow settings perhaps the motors packed up bt thermometer i have no idea. when its cold the engine is tapping quite badly.
    if any one could help me out thens its much appreciated!

    Check your fuses.
    That is where I would start.

    I'd switch to a 5W40 fully synth thats what i run all year round, and what oilman recommends

    Yeh Lunner i use to use that my car drinks it like i drink beer!!! and cant afford it. So iv used the 10w 40 and it lasts a lot longer. Bt the engines tappey.

    put some wynns top end treatment in £5 from halfruads !

    What does that do then?

    OP> My wiper is a bit funny when wet/cold so I would suggest it is damp getting into a connection somewhere.

    Not sure about the rest, but maybe snow got in under the mirror and has now melted and causing shorting issues?

    It quietens noisy tappets, used some in mine a while ago and worked a treat. Forte top end treatment is supposed to be good too

    all i can tell you is that clio's dont like cold weather,having noticed tapping my self like a 'morcombe and wise xmas special',15 40 is ok any one dissagree ?
