Lucky escape with tyre

for the last week or so my N/S/R tyre has had a slow puncture

after i finished work today, got it up on the ramp and asked one of the techys to have a look at it for me

once it was in the air we saw a nail near the edge of the tyre on the inside, and the tyre had a small egg about the size of a 5p, once i saw that i had to change the tyre

once we got it off though it was worse, the nail had gone in at a funny angle and it was rubbing away at the sidewall from the inside !

not a good pic, will try and get a better one tomorrow

it had about 4mm of tread aswell, easily, maybe 5+

Lucky escape there - even more so when considering it was a rear tyre!!
