Anyone know how much a new valver alternator costs nowadays?

(or the rough cost of a refurb'd unit?)

(I'm asking as i'm getting the flickering red battery light, it might be the alternator, or it might turn out to be a bad earth... who knows... I just want the worst case, 'best' price lol.)

Watch out with ebay I bought what apparently was a 'as new condition' alternator from there was all shiny etc, turned out the stator and/or voltage regulator was fcked and it over charged my battery and sent acid all over my engine bay

Id stick with getting it brand new from a motor factors tbh

80 notes i payed from local motor factor.

I had te flickering battery light for a while, it wouldn't fade on and off...it'd come on and off brightly.

Left it toooo long, turned out to be the regulator. When it finally went it fried my ECU
