Can't believe what difference 185 tyres make!!!!

Just had a set of 185/55 tyres fitted today and can't believe the difference it has made from the 195/50's it was on previously... ride is now supple and compliant rather than harsh... steering is light and feedback fantastic!!!! This is how I remember the Willy experience!!!! :D :D :D

Worth the extra expense if you're after the authentic Willy experience.

    pah. more roll, less feedback.

ok for satisfying all round driving experience, i.e comfort, do nothing for the handling imo.

    I've just acquired another valver

It's running on a standard suspension with 185/55 tyres :D

My old one is on 195/45s... and the difference is incredible

I might be converted back to just wafting roudn country lanes (at about the same speed i reckon)

    45s to 50s is a hell of a diff, 45s to 55s is a fukkin huge diff.

45s are shit. My grey one had them on when I got and it was just undrivable imo.

I'm still undecided on which I prefer (have one clio on 195/50s and one on 185/55)

I'm still leaning towards the 195/50 but then I have the pleasure of using those on the weekend/track car and keeping the daily one comfy.

I like 185's you can go ape shit on them and they take the punishment

Might get 185's next time - I was gonna go for them this time round but a set of 195's came up too cheap to turn down really
