fao peeps with omp bolt in cage

got any pics of it mounting to the floor?

did you have to build some small towers on the floor as the legs wouldnt touch in certain places?

also when it says 'ALL ROLL CAGES ARE MADE FOR MODELS WITHOUT A SUNROOF EXCEPT WHERE INDICATED' does that mean it is impossible to fit (cant see why) or does it mean you cant use your sunroof? (not fussed about that)

    cheers

depends on the cage really as some have bars that run close or even across the sunroof.

if its a bolt in cage should touch where its bolts at all points really.

only weld in cages have added floor sections some times as far as i,m aware

Not necessarily true, you still need to weld reinforcing plates in to bolt the cage to, otherwise when you roll you'll just end up with the cage sticking out through holes in the floor

yeh i am aware of welding reinforcing plates to bolt the cage to

however i was just wanting to know how accurate a fit the omp cages were in a mk1 clio, all i can find is a mk2 but he had to have some small raised sections made up on the floor as the cage 'legs' werent long enough at certain points

yes i agree but they are not usually the metal block type fitted to some weld in cages but flat metal plates that transverse to or more panels thus the cage should still touch the floor.

weld in cage with tower mounts

bolt in cage with flat foot mountings
