    Hybrid vs Celica???

Ok i'm a bit dis-gruntled here at the moment!

Had a blast with a celica, looked like a 2.0 16v from my mirror. Up to *00 it pulled 1/2 a car length on me

What's going on?! Shouldn't i have pasted this?! Unless GT4 engine possibly? It had a big jap exhaust on it. S reg.

    Ideas? What they weigh?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the hybrid had been stuck in traffic before, so was hot. Hence it felt a bit slower than usual to due induction kit. Not much slower though.

Some may have the import 2.0 mr2 engine which is 178 bhp or so, not real slow but shouldnt touch a hybrid, they weigh about as much as the titanic. I paced a st205 gt4 in my hybrid :/

Which are my thoughts exactly! Should've given it a right pasting!

If it had a celica gt-4 engine in it, how would i have fared then?

But then why would someone go to the effort to put the engine in - why not just buy one? Sayin' that, people could say the same to us hybrid lot!

Yeah standard engine, scorpion full system (yet to get a de-cat, on my list of things!), but i have an open induction kit which was sucking power after sitting in traffic.

Am seriously considering the scuttle panel induction, as i can't live without that induction roar! & i'm most certainly planning head work and some good cams, pulleys, re-map etc....

Still, the car is as quick as a williams in a straight line obviously. I just keep scratching my head as what it could've been? As i'm a bit pissed off to be honest - didn't expect it to get anywhere near me, let alone pull half a length!

Bah you win some you lose some - how many ford owners have posted this very question on their forums about a silly clio beating me...

True true - didn't lose shamefully though, half a car length is neither here nor there.

Shame i didn't get to chat to him - we went different ways. Just damn curios as to what it was!

    They weigh about 1400kg.

I had a doo with one once too, a GT, and that surprised me as well!
