    Williams 3 Alarm

    Hi All,

I was just wandering, has anyone got the full manual for the standard Cobra Alarm on the Willy 3? My alarm system has started to play up a bit and just wanted to check what all the beep sequences mean.

    What used to happen is:

Lock the car: two short beeps
Unlock the car: one short beep then one long one.
Turn off the ignition: one short beep.
Turn on the ignition: no beep

    What happens now:

Lock the car: two short beeps (as normal)
Unlock the car: one short beep
Turn off the ignition: one extreamly short sound (can't really class it as a beep)
Turn on the ignition: An intermittant beep that runs for about 10 seconds (continues even if you start the engine)

I have tested the alarm itself, opening the doors etc and that all still works. Though thinking about it I havent tested if the immobiliser kicks in yet.

Has anyone got any ideas? Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    James

they seem to go faulty and they usually tend to replace them with a toad cat 1.

its for valeters or garages when servicing so that the vehicle will not go into passive immobilisation.
