    Bonnet

Ok, am getting pretty sick of the stonechips on my bonnet. Just washed, clayed, polished and waxed my willy 2 yesterday..... looks awesome, but the bonnet spoils everything

What are my options to get rid?

I have a SMART repair kit that i bought but not tried yet. I used it on a scratch and worked quite well.

Bonnet respray or buy a new bonnet?

How much would a bonnet respray cost roughly?

    Thanks everyone.

Depends how bad they are I suppose....I just had my car fully re-sprayed and opted to get the origal bonnet reparied....but for a new one your looking at about £130 plus another £100 for a decent spray job.

If you are willing to be brave, and what have you got to lose?

You could try touching in the stone chips, and then wetsanding back using some 2000-2500 grade wet and dry, then buffing out the sanding marks.

I did it to the front of the mrs's car, and it came up a treat.

Just trying to find a thread i saw a while back on detailingworld showing someone doing it on his escort, amazing turnaround.

    Thanks wayne!

I must admit after completing the first scratch i was left with light scratch marks from the wet and dry.... i shvt myself, but used some Meguiars Scratch X on it, a few coats of that and they were gone.

You could try Chips Away as an alternative
