yeah should be a honeycomb as fatboy said, its either been knocked out or collapsed(mine did this last year), or its not got a cat on it, pos a silenced decat ie scorpion/magnex

I've had a cat "collapse" before on my 306, it didn't split up and exit out of the exhaust system nicely, instead it clogged up and caused a head gasket failure.
I would suggest if its a standard looking cat, then someone has bashed the inards out of it to get a (EXPENSIVE) decat effect.
