    Wheel Re-furbs

    Hi Guys,

Can you point me in the direction of the best place to have the Williams wheels re-furbed back to original specification.....

This is a weak point of my new car as I am sure you will all point out at FCS....

Can you give me an idea of price - does £75 per wheel sound about right??

Do they do them while you wait??

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

i got mine done for £50 a rim about 3 years ago. i think there are some people on here who have even had theres done for £40 a rim...

im based in essex so its a bit far for you, but im sure there are some members local to you who can point you in the right direction..

and at FCS mate dont worry about the wheels! no ones car is perfect, not even mine(arch rot and stone chipped bonnet) :D

Cheers Fatboy!! Not that I'm getting paranoid about FCS at all....

They won't be done before then anyway - just one of the first jobs in getting the car into mint condition!!

probably one of the main standout points of the car... when they look good they add a lot to the car.... when they have been done badly.....

I went to proclean in L'pool 18months ago now. Paid £40 a corner. They have stood up well although in the last few months i have noticed a number of chips off the paint. :(

Yep had mine done at Proclean in Prescott about 2 yrs ago, did a decent job, they still look good now, apart from one wheel has a few scratches. Think I paid £45 a wheel...most people will have some kind of defect with the wheels mate, wouldn't worry about it, if the cars used regularly it's difficult to keep them mint!

I've heard good things about Pristine too, some good pics on here somewhere, may be worth a call to get a price....

just to update people, Proclean were excellent and had many sets done there, sadly they are no longer trading as i was informed last week.

I didn't know that mate, it's a shame. They were very hit and miss tho, some people have had some shocking refurbs there, but some excellent ones too!
