    cost of a rebuild.....

It would appear that my engine has developed a ridiculous knocking. Only assumed to be bottom end screwed. Is it worth rebuilding, or just but another f7r bottom end to go on the worked head.

I think its the bottom end anyway its a really loud knocking/tapping and its miss firing and spluttering all over the place!

    Any help and opinions appreciated.

    Cheers
    Amir

yeah i thought that mate, but the symptoms could be that as it does make a hell of a rattle when it blows between cylinders. on plus side its more likely amir overheated it than your workmanship :P :P

depends on what it needs regrind and shells and new oil pump about 300 quid. rebore and pistons about are expensive bit. but if the bores are fine it will be cheaper.
