Willy DriveShafts & ABS Question

Are the ABS and non ABS driveshafts effectively the same unit, in that if I have an ABS car, I can take the non-ABS driveshaft and fit a new ABS ring and it will work all the same as an item that was originally designed for the ABS car?

Were they manufactured differently in anyway to allow for the ABS rings?

I just bought a renault driveshaft for my non ABS 16v, it came with ABS rings on.

I think they all come with ABS rings and therefore can be used on ABS cars!
