    CLUTCH ADVISE

Fitting a williams engine to my cup car, 16v engine had a very ON/OFF clutch fitted but no idea what make it is.

Will be used on track 99 percent of time and needs to cope with between 150 bhp and 200 bhp?

Any ideas what to go for?

Sounds like it had the uprated 5 turbo clutch from GSF, good clutch imo. I think the standard clutch will take the power but i'd go for another 5 turbo clutch if i were you.

Uprated one mate. Search for it on GSF. Think its about £80.

Some people then tend to opt for a soft pedal conversion, but i cant remember whats involved with that

contact demon tweaks and ask just to buy the helix paddle clutch plate then use standard cover and bearing... or just use the r5 gtt item.

or a helix cerametalic one- you wont be able to drive in traffic with out major slippage though.. the cerametalic ones have no inner springs ! there solid

I have the uprated R5 turbo clutch from GSF and it's brilliant!

Feels much more solid than a standard valeo clutch.

hi mate link doesn,t work but you need clutch plate clutch cover and the clutch bearing. also its advised that you change the arm pedal bush as these fail. but that might be a Renault only part. worth doing while its out though
