FAO of those with cup racers (northy etc)

A friend of mine had a very rapid clio a while back (before i knew him) and hes just started re-building it. Hes telling me the engine was originally from a cup racer but he doesnt know too much about the spec etc. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

1.8 16v with lightened internals, and group N ecu with 8k limiter..

blue printed producing 140 bhp
8000rpm rev limit ...

He said it was a fully blueprinted engine. Must have had more work aswell.

He runs it on carbs now, and claims it made 200bhp when roaded

yes i do and mines 150 bhp!!! just got to take the box of it to put onto the willy lump. engines done about 3000 miles only
