What exactly needs machining when fitting a Megane head to a clio engine???
What exactly needs machining when fitting a Megane head to a clio engine???
the access in the end of the head for the distributor as the megane does not have one.
Fancy getting one some time for my Valver but wondering what gains would be seen. Could i use my BP270 piper cams or would i need the Megane cams. Would the compresssion be altered much??
Why not? Explain!Originally Posted by stan
u also need to sort out the tps etc as well. meg and clio inlets completely diff. hassle over gains.....not worth it.
its only worth doing if you want throttle bodies, as you need a "custom" manifold which can be made to fit,
the bodies issue is more to do with the inlet port shape than owt else tbh. the smaller oval shape is a lot closer to the round of the body, the williams/valver having a more elongated port, which is easier to get better airflow thru apparently
becasue as said above, for not really any gain in performance, and quite abit of hassle (the machining is the easy bit)....whats the point? your better of fitting a williams head and/or upgrading cams to better spec.Originally Posted by summeh
the issue is the TPS is the main downfall....it wont calibrate right, and so the engine wont run right.
