    Brake compensators.

I have this really crappy clio and I have decided to track it to death, the rear brake pipe has split at the compensator. As a bodge I was thinking about removing the compensator and running a line stright from the center joint.
Anyone removed theirs? Will it be ok without it? A few of the 205 lads remove theirs and it works ok.

never really tried it. i think it will allow to much pressure to the rears . if it,s stripped and light and cause the rears to lock up all the time

I've done it on mine. As Maxiboy says if you just plumb it all together with bits of pipe the chances are you will end up with more rear bias than you want. You need to add a brake bias control in series and then feed the pair of rears off that. The bias controls come in lever types (which are easier to adjust mid lap) and screw types - look for suitable products from companies like Tilton, Wilwood and AP Racing.
