Very bad idea running the 57i in summer heat. You will be losing torque everywhere. Drop-in air filter is a much better idea.

i run one and am very happy with it, but ive made myself a nice aluminium box with cold air straight to it, from the front grill.

    I've got a 1.8 16v with K&N, powerflow exhaust system and decat... 149bhp (114bhp at the wheels) 118 lb.ft torque.

And its not a hyped up figure, its correct. I did it at work and we have an extremely accurate rolling road!

With the cat on i had 144, before i did a forte engine flush and injector cleaner, i had 141, and before that lot, i did a run with BP ultimate petrol and decat and it had 134bhp!! moral of the story.. dont EVER use BP ultimate unless u drive a diesel! All the other runs were using Shell V-Power.

Hope this helps in some way!

My current clio has one on it. It whistles for some unknown reason. Sounds like a turbo! makes a nice noise when you open it up but thats about it really.
