could be anything, check the track rod ends etc
Does it move lots or is it just a vibration. If its a vibration check that the exhaust downpipe isnt resting on the dogbone mount bolt
Matt
does the steering wheel really move like its no longer connected to the car ?
Both track rod ends are new! the steering wheel stays still but the steering changes, so ill go round a corner and say come off the throttle n suddenly it pointing more to the left/right etc
check the bottom balljoints as well
with the car still does the straight ahead position change? go to one lock back to where straight ahead was move forward does it steer slightly then/ if so rack bushes are knackered
Bottom balljoints as said, had this problem not long back.
hmm so wudnt be steering rack bushes?
Not sure how old the ball joints are but I remember replacing at least one of them last year :S would they cause a bit movement when i step on/off the throttle?
Did column last year, isn't any 'play' in the steering, ie i turn the steering wheel and the wheels move straight away, only when im going round corner and come on/off the throttle does it happen!
btw how would I know if the rack itself is shafted? Cause if im going to do the bushes might change the whole rack? Also how hard are the bushes to change?
