Oil Pressure Readings after different pump fitted. Help?

was at 80*C at 2,500rpm reading 2Bar which I thought was good. After talking to Stan, I added a washer to space out the plunger but this is where it isnt good. I opened the engine up on the dual carrageway all the way to 6,000rpm and oil pressure still read 2bar. On idle it was 0.8bar which was better than before but I use to get 3bar at 5,000rpm

I dont want my engine to run low on oil pressure this sucks and its really bugging me now spent ages trying to sort it today, from 2pm-8.45pm i've only just got home :(

Is the pressure relief valve free moving? If its a bit sticky it wont operate properly.

where did the pump come from. maybe try a new pump as thats the only way to tell if your bearings are worn. otherwise it could be one or the other. partly bearings partly pump. difficult to tell.

maybe its leaking where its mating to the block at pressure. either that or its got a blockage somewhere. as i said that,s why i questioned the filter. might be something simple especially as it,s only on 40k. maybe a faulty gauge but strange it read better with the other pump.
