i would replace with an r5gtt "uprated" clutch from gsf.
aye, thats what mine has
or buy just the paddle from helix then invest in the uprated r5 kit.. ditch the r5 clutch plate stick in the paddle... beast of a clutch then, will handle alot more than the r5 item..
the turbo boys tend to run either a sachs racing clutch...(which mine has) or a helix paddle....which seems to be the most durable for high torque and power applications
Is the R5GTT uprated clutch stiff? Does it make the clutch pedal rediculously heavy?
I'm seriously thinking about getting an uprated clutch for mine rather than using the LUK clutch i purchased, as i have a habit of killing clutches!
Just have a horrible feeling i'll kill the standard one.
if your worried about weight do a soft pedal conversion
yeh ive heard of a super heavy pedal from gtt clutches, will see what i can get hold of,

R5 clutch is fine mate, had it in my last one.
Snappy at first, but other than that its good!
Any more details on this?Originally Posted by MAXIBOY
Obviously i can't just walk in to a garage and ask for a soft pedal conversion, lol.
Where do i get the bits i need? Is it a DIY job?
Any info much appreciated!
Cheers
bb sell them but i think it is basically a 19 or 172 clutch arm which is longer
