    Checking for F7R

A few quick questions as I'm off to see/hopefully buy a hybrid tomorrow but want to make sure it's a 2.0. I'm 99.9% sure it is but want to double check a few things:

What sort of RPM does a willy pick up from - about 2.5k? I'm pretty sure I will be able to tell the difference from the valvers I've driven but am not sure where a willy usually kicks in if you know what I mean.

I know about the veins on the block being different - without the starter heatshield can you see/feel down there to check?

As I say I have little doubt it is a williams engine but would like to just double check a few things. Also, if anyone has a picture of a valver block could they please post it up so I can double check I'm right in the difference between the blocks.

Is it possible to see the plate to identify the engine with the engine in place? Is it near the oil filter somewhere?

    Thanks.

Check the engine code below the inlet manifold, do a search for the block pic.

It should pull from 3k, and if its on standard limiter it which is 6.5k.

    The car off the forum?

where exactly is teh engine code? I never bothered to look for it on my old valver. Is it somewhere near the oil filter and can it be seen easily enough with the engine in the bay?

Yeah, the car is in the for sale section, not really a regular forum user as such though. From speaking to him I'm convinced all is as it should be, but just wanted to check mainly where a willy engine should kick on from.

He said the car is chipped but that it still only revs to about 6500 so I'll check it out anyway. Thanks for the help folks.

In that case it sounds like he is using valver management and just chipped it instead of using Williams management

think most F7R have it stamped on the block at the top just below the exhaust manifold
