    as soon as i saw it on fire i thought anti perc fan

    lol

    everyone one of mine had it removed for the same reason

    dont know what the fan does but why was it still in there ?

    its situated behind the drivers side headlamp and engages once the ignition is tuned off. what it does is blow cool air onto the base of the carb to cool it down and prevent hot start probelms

    but as you can see they have a habbit of just ignighting and burning the car down. replacing them for a new one is fine but the old original ones just end up doing what the one in the vid did

    there was a recall on this i had it done on my old 5 they added a fuse so it would not sort .

    this must of not been done to this car. he had samco hose all the bull .. but did not sort a simple thing . just shows they way most modders think

    Does this mean the perc fan doesnt cut in and falls to cool the carb ie
    making it catch fire , or is it the fan its self that catchs fire .. im confused
    on that one .. cheers Darren

    the fan itself catches fire mate, typical Renault electronics

    if im honest i ran all my 5 turbos without the anti perc fan and never had problems starting when warm
