de-cat and/or filter (not induction kit, standard airbox with uprated filter)
rebuild with forged pistons etc and a turbo from a bus
make sure your std brakes and suspension are in tip-top condition, maybe include Ferrodo DS2500 pads and Brembo Max discs.
From there on you want to concentrate on the engine, and this is really dependent on your budget.
must say, the Ferrodo DS2500's have really impressed me!
Be aware that ds2500 are known for excessive brake dust (but are very highly rated).

ive never experienced excessive brake dust.
a brake pad is an abbrasive material...it wears..this is how they work...consequently you get dust. Im always weary of "low-dust" pads...
ditto, mine seem like standard pads for dust... even so, I'd rather have more dust and more braking power
