Driveshaft gaiter touching Downpipe heatshield... why?

Noticed this the other day, what are the causes, gaiter is still in good condition but surely the downpipe shouldn't be that far back?

The engine mounts and exhaust hangers are all fine too?

Sounds like you need to loosen the downpipe to manifold nuts ...re adjust so it's not fouling anything then nip them back up :D

you mean those 2 bolts with the springs on? i'm confused mate, how would loosening them help?

There is a little groove in the heatshield where it looks like the gaiter should be, mines in that groove but it still touches.

i had the same problem when it was still a 16v lump in there. As a 2week fix until the F7R was put in, I removed the heatsheild from the downpipe and it shorted it
