    turbo cams

    which would be the best cams for a turbo conversion ? im going to be running a t28 , forge conrods and pistons (but dont what c/r to use ? ) and a adapatonronic mangement system. I'm wanting high bhp and turque and to p155 off all the scooby owners in the area. Thank you in advance, foley.

    Are you using off the shelf l/c pistons or having the c/r machined to your requirements?

    im aiming for over 300 bhp and as for the pistons im going to get them made to my spec by a company in america !

    300bhp is easy. why you having them made in america. you can buy them off the shelf. stan can supply any you want. prob 8.5 to 1. with short duration high lift cams.

    the only reason im goint to america for them is 1 they can be made at a good price, 2 i didnt know of any body in the uk that could make/supply them other than the over priced "tuning" companies ( bb+ktr ) As for the cams you mentioned maxiboy what make ? cheers

    At what boost you hoping to get 300bhp ? C/R is a factor obviously, if you wanna loads.

    ideally at about 12 psi , tho is that a no go ?

    I can supply cams and pistons....both to custom spec.

    something like 260 deg and 10.5mm on exhaust and 275deg 11.mm on inlet should be ok.

    If you do it properly with proper cooling and fuelling/ign calibration, and proper mechanics you can go more than that.

    Yeh thats nothing really. Was just concerned about the C/r if you wanted like 25psi or something lol.. Less than 1 bar is not problem at 8.5-1

    Think hard about C/R and boost you want.. And stick with it, no use building the thing and then wanting more but are limited because of the C/R
