    Megan 710

    Hi all,

    What machining would be required on one of these to put it into a valver?

    I understand it needs machining for the distributer... Is it more than a hole?

    Could i not use the ignition systems out of a megane to save all this fussing, and put a better engine than the willi one into a valver?

    Faster stock than a willi engine?

    waste of time tbh mate.

    use the meggy bottom end by all means.its all good.


    but.use a valver head....or a willy 1 if u can get 1.

    Bass informs me bigger valves in the megane.. bigger valves, sounds quicker to me!

    yes they have bigger valves....they also have a diff manifold, throttle body, port shape etc etc etc.

    for the hassle its not worth it. if u want bigger valves.put the valves out of the megane head in a valver head.

    tbh, that does sound simpler, im assuming, enlarging the valve guide holes...

    new valve guides, valves and drilling out/grinding the valve seats.

    its all true :D

    and yes, theres more to it than machining dizzy. you could re-wire the whole car to run the meg lump..but whats the point?

    std for std..they will be circa the same performace. you may aswell use bottom end, 1.8/willy head, and a set of tidy cams.
