What would be better RWD clio OR 4wd clio

Now i recon for 3k you could easily build either...

Rwd Clio using 200sx running gear at approx 280bhp

Or for a little more 4wd with Pulsar GTIR running gear and 320bhp

But with 4wd it would loose power to the wheels but of the line be very fast. But the rwd would be funny as although with the weelbase so short would it be stupid.

Any ideas. Also how much would you buy a car that had thoes kind of modifications. I'd hate to build one and everyone hate it

I should really keep my ideas in my head...

i'd go 4wd personally, most systems are 60/40 split to the rear anyway so tail out action would still be on the cards..

as for hating it,how can you hate anything that small and light with 280+bhp

sack all them off and build a twin F7R engined one done well with space frame ! All custom rear suspension !

But i would do rear wheel drive...a pulsar isnt far off lightly tunned williams pace from what ive seen of martins 1/4miling videos.

But a 200sx drive train wouldn't just fit underneath

You've have to get a prop shaft fabricated, which I doubt would be cheap.

    I'd go 4wd anyways

4WD all the way, like you say the wheelbase is too small.

Yer a std pulsar aint that fast but with 350 there quite nippy. Rwd would obviously be cheaper. Just need to fabricage a gearbox tunnel and rear dif ect. Propsaft would be the std 200sx shortened and cost about £40 from Proppro so not bad. I just think over 260bhp is too much for fwd.

What is the wheelbase and width on a std Clio

But imagine how fast marts would have been with similar weight but 250+ bhp and 4wd. 4wd all the way for me...proper point and squirt.
