    thats not going to help under heavy acceleration or braking tho....

    coming out at 90deg from the sides that run the width of the car

    erm...read it properly...that run the width of the car...as in from left to right.

    pretty logical really

    Yeh as stan said needs one width of the car aswell.

    "Width of the car" to me says as wide as the car.

    You should have said that I need one mounted transversely across the sump.

    But now I get what you mean.
