has anyone taken out their standard element out of the filter box, but left the box as normal and then put an aftermarket cone etc on the end of the air intake pipe near the left fog??? [williams and valver] much appreciated.

what you think people?
Best to just use a replacement filter, i recomend an ITG one
Why would you leave the empty airbox in place?
Surely you would be better off just doing a 'Dong'.
Mat.
yeah, im talking bout getting the best of both worlds... keep the standard box and feed so i dont have to buy a new feed, and then a cone filter down by the fog so it ent in a hot engine bay!!! doesnt that make sense?
i think its worth a try mate, no reason why it wouldn't work
like this that 'winston' did but with the standard feed
if you did that you woudl get shit loads of turbulance in teh std air box and less power
If you do what winston's done and yes i did it, you will suck up water when there was lots of spray on teh motorway you could feel the car being sluggish as ****
whats the best way then?, i need that sound! but i obviously dont wont to be suckin in loads of hot air....
