    Williams subframe or Valver

Which would you use if you had the choice

    Williams double skinned heavy mofo
Valver single skinned floppy light mofo
    Valver seam weilded
    Williams seam weilded

What would you say is the best happy medium ...between strengh and weight

tbh,....unless your shell is fully seam welded and strengthened, I cant see you being able to tell the difference with either or.

Im seam welding my williams one, but thats only cos its what I have,,,,if it was a valver one, I would be doing that one.

I have a stitch welded williams one

Stitch weld it rather than seam weld it, seam welding created points of high stresses, and is heaveier ;)

If we are all in a pedantic mood ,"STITCHING" is the type of weld,"SEAMWELDING" is where it is applied ~~ thats been the terminology,I have been used to in over 25 years of buying selling Rally Prepped shells Gartrac/Gomm etc who used to prepare all the Escort shells, reckoned on 50/75mm "Stitches" along the "Seams" !!!!
Think I need another drink chaps

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL !!!!!

See you in mid January Stan ~~~ for my 57th Birthday present a GRP hatch :D
