    Wheels and handling???

y is the handling better on a car with 15s n a large profile tyre, than 16s with a low pro... ie the overall size/circumferance etc is the same? [when they are both lowered] Wont it be the same?

The differant sized tyres affect the steering turn in and make the ride harsher.

The smaller the profile from standard the worse it will be.

I would probably prefer low profile/big rim on smooth tarmac for more consistent handling. But in real-world bumpy roads, I would go for the smaller rim with taller profile (but nothing taller than 65s).

That's assuming rolling diameter, weight, weight distribution, tyre width/model are the same and mounted on the similar test cars.

depends on how much work you are doing else where. it will handle better with lower profile tyres and larger rims but only if you change the standard suspension and optimise the rest around that wheel or tyre combination. if your running standard or near standard suspension set ups then 195 50 15 is the way to go. if have done a lot of work to get the 235 30 18 setup i,m using to handle as well as the standard cars. revised suspension spring weight wider track and larger offsets. also running leda coil overs etc. needed the 18,s to allow 325mm discs and to fill the maxi arches.
