    Lightened flywheel

After christmas i'll be sticking my refurbed williams box in and selling the one out of my car. Is it worth getting a flywheel machined and doing it whilst the box is off? Does it make much of a difference?

Also is the williams / 16v flywheel the same?

Weight gains are minimal, I only usually suggest it it if the crank-train is being balanced also.

    They are the same, yes.

I appreciate that to get the best the crank train needs dynamically balancing but will a lightened flywheel make any improvements (pick up bit quicker) or shall i just stick with what i've got?

Its marginally noticeable...but IMO, it could just as easily be un-detectable lol.

If you have the chance, its cheap enough, so why not!
