    Oh joy, just what I wanted.......... CAMBELT

    Sounds like a bearing has gone in either my tensioner or idler.

    I have spoken to Gates and they are sending an engineer out to check it over, see if the part failure is down to the part or the fitting.

    Not what I need right now

    was it overtight ? this can cause bearing failure.

    those that get the trade mags knwo its never Gates fault, its always the fitting.

    tbh i wouldn't have even bother going to the hassle getting them to come out

    Look at bass' car, brand new gates cambelt snapped

    Lol bass did fit it himself though :P , and he did overtighten it quite alot too.

    I fitted it, and it was only slightly overtight

    ....same tension as mine, and mine is fine

    Lol what a fibber, he told me he fitted it and it was way overtight causing a tensioner to seize and snap the belt
