    Spare Alloy What to Do?

Picking up my new alloys on Sat from SteveV6 off CS. They're a set of 5 though and I can decide what to do. Originally I was thinking put the spare in the loft.

But I'd rather use it as the spare. Which gives rise to the problem of it sitting in the cradle and getting fvcked potentially. So 2 questions.

1: Would you use it as the spare and ditch the steelie?
2: Are there any sort of plastic dishes/trays that can be bought that I could sit it in when it's in the spare cradle? It would make it easier to slide out without scratching as well.

Wouldnt recommend having it sat under the car. Keep it somewhere safe in case one of your new posh alloys gets damaged.

Alternatively just give it to me and I promise to look after it.

aye or if you want to keep it in the cage put the outside of the alloy facing up towards the underside of the car and then the inside of the rim gets the shit kicked at it and not the side you see when it's on the car tbh though i would leave it somewhere safer and keep the steelie, it's not as if you have flat tyre everyday is it?

my turbo rim spare is original spare since new, never used. all ive done is wrapped it up in a thick pvc membrane and duck taped it all round to give a good seal.

Yer that sounds like a good idea of rich's, but i'd also bang a bag around it so that no mud, dirt or dust will go in it anyway, or like 2live said, leave it out!

What wheels you gone and bought Mike, interesting?
