Do you find the engine sounds quite tappety?

Had my cheaper oil replaced with Silkolene Pro S 5w40 yesterday now that winter is coming along and engine should be worn in. Does sound quite different with the new oil.

This is on a newly rebuilt engine with new cams, lifters etc so wouldn't have thought it would sound like that.

Think it is sounding better today TBH. Will see how it fairs after a week or so.

May be just the difference in oil and time to get fully coated again following a flush.

mines a little tappety first thing in the morning but once up to temp it goes away but my engine is on 96k so i expect abit of noise.
