button on key

any idea what the button does on the key?

when i press it i get a little red light come on , is that all it does

its suppose to be for the central locking, on my williams it dont work as everything works off the clifford fob

ok thanks, just confusing.

ive got the factory fitted cobra alarm and the central locking works of that fob.

yeah some did, my williams dont, my sisters old valver had to use std fob aswell as clifford and another immob!

i was just curious, just nice to know wat everything does or doesnt do.

theres also a bigger bulb that points in the direction of the metal bit of the key, is that supposed to work also?

thats a infared diode mate, if you put your camera phone on and press it at it you should see it light up on the camera screen, (not by human eye) if it dont light up its proberly broken!
