Swapping Williams for 172

I recently got transfered to a new section of work which is 50 miles away. As i dont want to travel that far in the Williams everyday i had a problem. Ive been looking for a new car.

Fortuitously, i have found someone who is prepared to do a swap with a mark 2 172 (plus 1000 quid from me). She has had a change in circumstances too and no longer needs her car to get to work.

Bit gutted, but i still have my other Williams. Swapping the cars over this weekend.


So Jill is the new owner of Williams 0200, and i now own a black 172. With leather. :D

So how come you got such a good deal on the 172? I was under the impression that 0200 was of average Williams condition? Or have you got 2 minters?

I'm seriously thinking about changing the Williams already to get something newer like a 172, i only have it as my everyday runabout car, which its great fun for, but im always worried about things breaking!

well if you have swapped your a fool, and Jilly has got herself a great deal, as 172's are going to be worth spit in 2 years... also if the Williams hurst to drive for long periods why get a car the same size with similar driving position

sorry m8 but if i was worried about racking up miles or comfort for that money (well, prolly less) you could have something like a Vectra GSI... pretty quick, look okay too... okay its a Vaux and they are shit still, but it's more car for the money... or even an older 5 series?
