Only 1 brake pad worn?? :S

On my drivers side the pad on the outward face of the disc is down to the metal, but on the backside of the disc that pad has 5mm left! Pads were new when put on and the passengers side is fine... whats going on??

If its only the sliders that need doing, then no, I would just do that myself.

Either but the kit from Renault, new slider bars, grease (spelling) dust covers and bolts, or just clean up what you have.

If the caliper needs replacing, I would buy new (I have just done this)
But note that most places only sell the pistion part of the calliper and not the carrier/slider part.

I posted one but I think it was lost.

You need to hit the sliding part of the caliper with a hammer to get it moving. Once its moving ok you can then remove the caliper and separate the 2 halves completely. You then need to wire brush or lightly sand with 1200 grit sandpaper the sliding pins and clean the holes where they are. Re-grease them with red rubber grease and put em back together.
