    Decat

    Do i decat the valver or not?

    Is it worth it?

    I know come MOT it will have to go back on, but do the plod do on the spot tests, would it void your insurance?

    never been spot checked or ever known anyone to get done for not having a cat............ as for benefits they seem to go better.....

    Ive never had a valver or any car with a cat on, so the likes of me will ask the question :P

    DECAT it my friend. MOT is a pain in the arse, but its only 4 bolts to swap it anyway!

    Oh the joys of owning a 31st Jan 1992 car!

    Never ran a car with a cat on and in 3.5 years never been checked, and i get about a bit

    Its not the police that check those things, its VOSA vehicles and mobile testing stations run by VOSA.

    It can happen but chances are unlikely. It wont void your insurance, they wont allow you to drive away your car i dont think. Either that or you have to produce your car showing the fault corrected.

    Depends what year/model?

    My 1995 Ph2 Valver passed its Vosa mot last week with a De-Cat on... So Vosa cant do shit to me.
