Front Bumper bump strips + inserts

Hi All

Has anybody had any joy removing the front bumper bump strips or the inserts in the bump strips as am going to change the bumper on my williams but the new bumper am fitting is a phase 1 16v bumper which has silver bump strip inserts rather than black so need to swap them or even paint them . Please help

they just unclip mate. its even easier if the bumpers off the car.

do the strip inserts come out? As when I looked seemed that they are plastic welds with odd clip perhaps going blind. :(

they just pop out mate.

start in the middle - and work the first clip off, then work your way along.

when i did mine i was lucky non snapped - my mate who did his a few broke off.


Think the fronts are easier than the backs.
