    Project e30 Alpina C1

Heres a pic of our rather sorry state 1984 Alpina C1 2.3 which we will be fully preparing as a tarmac rally/track car this year. Its sat in the corner of the workshop now looking sorry for itself but we will get round to starting it soon. Its number 57 of whats believed to be less than 200 cars made with maybe only 50-75 left around the world.

This is the engine thats currently in there. 2.3 litres 6 cylinder and 170bhp

This is the engine that will be going in there. 4 litre V8 with 286bhp and 295lb/ft of torque

And this is what they should look like. Except ours is probably going to be Ferrari Daytona Yellow with black rims. In track spec it should be down to just under 1000kgs and with standard lsd and Bilstein suspension I reckon it should be amazing on track.

Will try for Ty Croes, but like any project like this you can almost gaurantee it will take twice as long as estimated.

Just got to keep my eyes out for a knackered 540,740 or 840. If we can get a whole car then the swap should be that much easier.
