    retarded question

    how the fook do i get my spare wheel off of my mk1 RT, i can see there is like a hook, but the thing wont fookin budge, is there a certain way to do it?

    open your boot, on the righthand side there is a flap in the carpet, lift it up, insert brace from left of boot and turn it until the cage lowers down ;)

    go to the boot, pull back the material cover and there is a big round knut with two slits in it making it into a conventional screw. get the jack from the rear strut and the bottom end of the jack fits that "screw" i described. just put it in and turn it and it lowers the cradle holding the spare wheel.....

    hmmmm, dont think i have one, checked the boot lol... is it a special tool?

    they're not really special, if you've got a big flat screwdriver that would work.
    They come with mk1's as standard, somebody obviously kept yours

    thanks for the help, finally got the little blighter off, was seized on to the hook the frame..... good old twatting with a hammer sorted it! lol

    get rid of the frame and hook aswell if ure not running a spare, oh and the jack and brace, no point carrying those about either.

    how'd i get rid of the frame, had a look, but couldnt see anything to get it off by?

    it should just unhook from underneath with a bit of playin/jiggling around.
