The fuel filter is a doddle to change, if it is corroded on the outside it must have been on there for some time and will probably be gummed up inside. This will reduce the fuel pressure resulting in a slight loss in performance. You will probably need new clips as the standard ones usually have to be cut off. Full procedure in Haynes manual.
make sure you wear a hat cos when i did mine fuel spat all over me hair and me hair went hard, was a bastard to wash off
screw has been rounded off in mine, so i cant get the bastard thing out.
use an oxy-eceteline torch to cut it off! :P
Joking!
Buy new clips and then cut the old ones off wi a hacksaw!
wear hgoggfles too, fuel in the eye stings like fook
Hmmm might let the garage just do it when I pop back - I like my hair as it is!!
