    manifold wrap

    is this any good?
    is it an alternative to the manifold heat shield? i.e. could i wrap the manifold up in that and then remove the heat shield?

    its good but still use the heat shield. also you need stainless steel zip ties to hold it on.

    Got similar stuff on mine and it works a treat...still have the heatsheild in place though to be safe.

    I have the SS tie wraps, but you can use SS hose clips or locking wire.

    be careful if you have a cast manifold though as it can cause them to crack
