    Spraying Badges

Going to spray my badges (bonnet badge and 'Renault' badge on the rear) up in a nice colour

Just wanting to no what i'm best doing with them...I no they are finished in a 'chrome' type finish...but not sure whats underneath that. Obviously they will need to be rubbed down but is it chrome covered plastic or are they solid metal? Anyone done it before?

I'm pretty handy with the paint so I no all about prepping etc- just not sure exactly how best to prep as i'm unsure whats under the top layer!!!

    Ta :D

plastic primer is the way forward but because they wont be flexing in anyway just a quick coat of primer will do, then ur colour

i did mine black a while ago, took the bonnet one off as it came off fairly easily, however i sprayed my rears whilst on the car, didn't do much rubbing down, loads of masking though I tried for quite a while to get the rears off but they would've snapped so i gave up on that.
Just used some black spray paint i had lying around, then a couple of coats of laquer.

Christ Scott...lmfao @ the masking! Can't call you half-a-job can we!!

managed to get them all off in the end, just waiting for them to dry. Also thinking of doing the middle of the black inserts in the bumpers white (as Fiesta turbo's etc have green ones) but not really sure if what would be over doing it!
