    front brake concerns

ive just got the wheel off the front drivers side to do the brake pad/disc chnage, removed the big middle bit of the calpier and found that there was nothing holding them in at the front (no little bar or spring clip).

i took the big middle bit off and just pulled the pads outwards and they came right out.

    is this right or what?

looks like a wheel spacer to me mate

when u get alloy wheels they sometimes fit rings to 'pack' the alloy wheel to the right size for the hub.

The others might be still in the wheel.

looks like a spigot ring, guides the wheel to dead centre if the bore size on the wheel is different from the hub

    look inside the other wheel,

mine only had one! randomly! made refitting the wheels an arse!

    lol thanks guys :D
just as a side note, the wheel that had the ring on was a real ****er to get off, had to spray it with WD40 and all sorts, however the wheel that didnt have one/didnt notice it came off real easy 1st time.

im at work all today, but im doing the rears tonight (if the weathers not shity) so i'll check the front and see if its got one at all and post back in here.

if your wheels have those rings in, make sure you put them back in
